Ampelos Therapy offers counselling that explores how thoughts, emotions and physical reactions interact in difficult moments
Looking more closely at these moments often reveals patterns that are easy to miss at first.
Reactions can appear quickly in moments of pressure. Even when someone understands a situation clearly, their thoughts, emotions and physical responses may move in ways that feel difficult to control.
Understanding these patterns more clearly often becomes the starting point for change.
How the work unfolds
Counselling at Ampelos Therapy focuses on understanding how thoughts, emotions and physical reactions interact in difficult moments.
Many people already have a clear understanding of their situation. Yet certain reactions may still appear when pressure rises or when familiar emotional patterns are activated.
Through careful exploration of these moments, it becomes possible to notice how these patterns developed and how they continue to shape present responses.
Over time, this awareness can create space for different choices and responses to emerge.
Therapy is ultimately a human process. At Ampelos Therapy, the work is carried out by therapists who share a reflective and grounded approach while bringing their own experience and perspectives to the work.
Ian is a registered counsellor who works with adults navigating emotional patterns, anxiety, and experiences that continue to influence present reactions. His approach is integrative and attentive to how thoughts, emotions and physical responses interact in moments of difficulty.
Jeremy works with individuals navigating anxiety, relational difficulties and emotional strain. His work emphasises emotional safety and collaborative exploration of patterns that may appear under pressure.
The work at Ampelos Therapy draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches. These may include mindfulness-informed work, trauma-informed approaches, and methods such as EMDR where appropriate.
Rather than applying a single method, the focus remains on understanding each person’s experience and working collaboratively at a pace that feels manageable.
Ampelos Therapy is committed to supporting counsellors in their professional growth. We provide clinical supervision for those pursuing registration with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC), offering guidance that is grounded, reflective, and growth-focused.
Whether you are in training, working towards full registration, or seeking case consultation, our supervision is designed to meet you where you are and to support your development as a thoughtful, ethical, and resilient practitioner.
